A Tribute to My Beloved Mother, Pastor Mrs. Christianah Olufunke Owolabi

There are no words that can truly express the depth of my love for you or the emptiness your passing has left behind. As your first son, I, was privileged to be raised by an exceptional woman whose life was defined by unwavering faith, discipline, hard work, and selfless love. As the mother of four boys, you carried the responsibilities of our home with remarkable strength and grace, standing firmly beside our late father while nurturing us with wisdom and godly values. You taught us to seek God first through daily morning devotions, praise and worship, and the study of His Word. More importantly, you lived out the life of Christ before us, teaching us obedience, forgiveness, humility, integrity, and compassion through your actions rather than your words.

Mum had a heart large enough to embrace everyone. Together with our late father, you opened your home to relatives and friends, helping to educate and support many members of our extended family. Your generosity knew no bounds, and your kindness touched countless lives. Music was also a cherished part of your life, which led you to make a Christian album, often played in our home and on local radio and television stations. This filled our childhood with songs of worship that continue to remind us of your steadfast faith and devotion to God. You dedicated your life to serving your family, your church, and everyone God placed in your path, always putting the needs of others before your own.

Mum, you have left a void that no one can ever fill. We miss your prayers, your guidance, your warmth, and your unwavering love. Although our hearts are heavy with grief, we are comforted by the assurance that you are resting peacefully in the presence of the Lord whom you faithfully served throughout your life. Your legacy lives on in your children, grandchildren, and the many lives you influenced. You will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. Sleep peacefully in the bosom of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, until we meet again.

With everlasting love,

Olanrewaju Owolabi
