TRIBUTE TO PASTOR MAMA OWOLABI OF THE BLESSED MEMORY

Founder, KIUT Chapel – Gone to be with the Lord, May 2026

To the Family of Pastor Mama Owolabi.

Grace and peace be multiplied unto you.

We received with deep sorrow, yet with hope in Christ, the news of the homegoing of our dearly beloved Mother, Pastor Mama Owolabi of the Blessed Memory.

We bow our hearts in thanksgiving to God for the life of a true servant of the Lord. A woman who laboured not for vain glory, but for the Kingdom.

She planted what has blessed many.

Where there was no chapel, she saw a vineyard. Where there was no altar, she raised one unto the Lord. By her obedience, KIUT Chapel was born. And through that one seed of faith, many souls have been saved, many weary hearts have been comforted, many students far from home have found a family and a place of prayer.

As it is written: “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.” – Proverbs 11:30 KJV

Now she rests from her labour, but her works do follow her.

“Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.” – Revelation 14:13 KJV

The seed Mama planted at KIUT will continue to grow. The chapel remains. The souls remain. The testimony remains.

Heaven rejoices to receive her home, and we look forward to that day in the sweet by and by, when we shall meet on that beautiful shore, never to part again.

“To live is Christ, and to die is gain.” – Philippians 1:21 KJV

With deepest sympathy and eternal gratitude,
